Stolen Music

Well, today I deleted all the music from my ITunes library that I was pretty sure that I had not purchased. A scary thing to say - what if someone reads this and thinks badly of me for having loaded the music or worse what if the police find out about me writing this and I have incriminated myself by writing it!! I don't think I have too much to worry about though, because I know that today I made a good decision.

It was just random stuff that I had picked up over time and was only a small part of my library. For me it began to bug me that I had something that, to me, stood in the way of being closer with God. How could I go to Him knowing that I was disregarding simple things? I think that it's like the love that we have for our spouse or better yet our children. Most of us naturally want to honor those relationships. We don't want anything to stop us from enjoying each others company. There are a lot of places in the Bible that talk about getting stuff out of the way that make our lives cluttered with - I'll go ahead and say it - sin.

Not that I have this list worked down to one of two things. But I know that today I decided to remove one more thing that will prevent me from knowing Him. So what's bugging you?

  1. Hi, Sid. I heard your podcast w/Hal Freeman. I posted a couple of comments on that page.

Anyway, great to catch up with you here in cyberspace.
