Last night technology worked for me! I sometimes get a little frustrated with technology because I can easily get caught up in staying online on my laptop and really doing nothing. But last night I found an old friend online that I haven't seen in about 10 years or so, and I found him of all places - on MySpace.
Stacy and I went to college together with Mickey. Actually Stacy has known him a lot longer than I have. The three of us went on the 10 year plan to college so by the time we all met we were college professionals.
I remember a lot of great times with Mickey, a lot of great conversations, and a lot of laughter. He even helped us move once and it only cost us a tuna fish sandwich!
Stacy got to talk to him via IM for a while last night. I had actually gone to bed and was laying there listening to her laugh and tell me about all of the stuff that Mickey was saying. To be living all the way in New Hampshire he still keeps up with a lot of our old friends.
It's great to have friends that you can see or meet 10 years later and just pick up on the conversation where you left off, and Mickey will always be one of those friends.
Sid oh how true about been friends. A great friendship is never broken even with time and space. If its based on The Lord its forevermore. Because we are brothers and sisters in Christ.
