Living with Passion

I recently had to come to a realization about myself - I often don't adequately express my passion.

I've been thinking about this for the last 24 hours and have come to a realize that passion can't be hidden for the sake of not appearing nieve or over zealous.  In the world today we face many false ideas and thoughts that have pervaded our society.  One idea is that if we are too zealous or too agressive that we are too pushy, arrogant or belligerent.  Even though the goal of this idea is that we aren't perceived as lacking faith in God's will or as being arrogant it often morphs into being passionless and just plain timid.

I have fallen into this trap.  I have exchanged my passion and fire for acceptance and silence in order to be a team player.

We all know Michael Jordan as the ultimate basketball player of all time but did you know that he was cut from his high school team.  He said once:
"I have missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I have lost almost 300 games. On 26 occasions I have been entrusted to take the game winning shot, and I missed. I have failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed."
In all of this though he kept his passion alive and while failing along the way but his passion burned inside of his gut.  I am this person as well.  We can no longer live as just passionless team players - leaders must lead!

So wake up sleeping leaders and get loud.  Live your passion.
